Wake Up

This wan an entry from 8 years ago, written when I have finally, finally decided I would stop writing. There was still the erstwhile post every now and then,  mostly obligatory food, concert, or travel photos, miserly captioned but nothing really that said anything.

8 years is enough hibernation. Time to start writing again.

Oh, hello.

It's been more than a year since my (not very) substantial entry and to say that a lot went on is an understatement. 

Mostly, Mika happened.

Mika is my four-year old niece (she turns four today) that basically has monopolized my time, attention, resources, love.

I've been driven-up-the-wall-bat-shit-crazy this past few years and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I've been shying away from digital means of chronicling my life -- well, except on Instagram. Because, photos. 

I guess I won't be updating this blog anytime soon unless I start that Home Improvement DIY  project I have been putting off for years. LOL. 

If it's any consolation, I've bought that Duchess Gold spray paint I've been meaning to. All I have to do now is use it.

I'm just so lazy. Way to be a DIY-er, huh?

A Really Good Friday

I've been itching to go to Subic Beach off of Matnog, Sorsogon and the week-long holiday seemed like the perfect timing. Although it was a half-baked plan with the cousins, I kind of banked on it, until I found out the family had other plans.

I was dead-set on going. I rarely set my sight on things, but when I want something, I (do everything to) get it. The Universe helps me out, of course -- this time, in the form of my cousin Kai and her adventurous ways + Google.

There were a few curve balls along the way --  pulled over for obstruction of traffic (gotta love jeepney drivers), getting stranded in Matnog, staying overnight in a seedy motel -- but it was worth it.

Meeting New People
I guess one is never too old to make new friends. It's so nice to know that there are so many like- minded people out there, people you don't need to adjust to. Organic friendships are my favourite.
Oh and another favourite -- meeting your celebrity crushes hahaha

Going to a Bazillion Shows
Honestly, I think is is where most of my money went. I don't know how many I went to exactly but I guess it's a lot because it made a little dent on my wallet haha. I need to pick my concerts and not just let my Id be the boss of me.

Island-hopping
I beat 2011's number by two islands. I love living in the Philippines. So many beaches and secret coves and I love that I have people in my life who are not mukhang Boracay. Don't get me wrong, Boracay is great but there are so many other islands to visit.
