A Really Good Friday

I've been itching to go to Subic Beach off of Matnog, Sorsogon and the week-long holiday seemed like the perfect timing. Although it was a half-baked plan with the cousins, I kind of banked on it, until I found out the family had other plans.

I was dead-set on going. I rarely set my sight on things, but when I want something, I (do everything to) get it. The Universe helps me out, of course -- this time, in the form of my cousin Kai and her adventurous ways + Google.

There were a few curve balls along the way --  pulled over for obstruction of traffic (gotta love jeepney drivers), getting stranded in Matnog, staying overnight in a seedy motel -- but it was worth it.

Kate asked me why I used these colours. Welp, these were are all the colours I had left hahaha

So much for profundity. Nope, not gonna get that from me.

2012 was all about

Meeting New People
I guess one is never too old to make new friends. It's so nice to know that there are so many like- minded people out there, people you don't need to adjust to. Organic friendships are my favourite.
Oh and another favourite -- meeting your celebrity crushes hahaha

Going to a Bazillion Shows
Honestly, I think is is where most of my money went. I don't know how many I went to exactly but I guess it's a lot because it made a little dent on my wallet haha. I need to pick my concerts and not just let my Id be the boss of me.

Island-hopping
I beat 2011's number by two islands. I love living in the Philippines. So many beaches and secret coves and I love that I have people in my life who are not mukhang Boracay. Don't get me wrong, Boracay is great but there are so many other islands to visit.
... says the girl who is mukhang Siquijor ...

Because it's too humid to roll by hand ...

... I ended up with truffle cups :p

Added cream cheese to the ganache to make it firmer and sprinkled it with rock salt to cut the sweetness. I used Inca rock salt coz it's pink and pretty, like tiny rose quartz crystals hihihi

Truffle Trouble

Well, not really. Sort of? Coz if by trouble, you mean I just might end up eating them myself instead of giving them away then okay, I could be in it neck-deep.
Ooh, neck-deep in Kahlua ganache ... doesn't sound so bad :p
